Chapter One :Chapter 1

"Madam Graham, this is the divorce settlement agreement. Please check and sign your name on it."

"Property and cash are given generously. If there is no problem, you may go to Civil Affairs Bureau to carry out the subsequent tasks after signing the divorce settlement agreement."

Chelsea looked at the two people outside the door. A housekeeper-like person was pushing a wheelchair, and a young man was sitting in the wheelchair.

A wheelchair? Matthew? Her husband? Chelsea squinted as she appraised the figure.

The man's facial features were well-developed, and his eyes were mesmerizing. His aura was ice-cold, and a faint sense of coldness filled his eyes. There was a hint of uneasiness in his eyes when he stared at Chelsea with his bright eyes. He then looked away.

The atmosphere was silent for three seconds.

As Chelsea recalled that she was only wrapped in a bath towel, she felt abashed.

"Is the current development such that she climbed onto another man's bed and her husband now sends her a divorce settlement agreement even though she didn't sleep with that man?" she wondered.

Yes, she had already realized that she had transmigrated into one book that she had just read.

In the novel, Chelsea was a dim-witted and pretentious female supporting character. Her parents were police officers. They had sacrificed themselves in order to save Matthew Storey, the male lead.

To repay the debt of gratitude, the Storey family waited for Chelsea to become an adult. They then got Matthew to marry her.

Chelsea should have lived a smooth life, but she ruined her future.

She despised Matthew. Matthew had injured his legs in an incident, and he was unable to stand up. He could only move around in a wheelchair.

Chelsea was a vain person. She could not stand the fact that her husband was disabled. Subsequently, she met Spencer Knowles, the handsome and rich scion of Paramount Entertainment. She wanted to break away from her marriage to Matthew and stay with Spencer instead.

After she successfully filed for the divorce, she completely lost the protection of the Storey family. Having no connections and caliber, she rapidly fell from grace in the entertainment industry.

Spencer, whom she thought was her true love, showed his true colors.

Spencer had merely wanted to use her to get the secrets of Storey Group when he got into a relationship with her. Upon achieving his objectives, he naturally forsook Chelsea. He even swindled her.

Chelsea was filled with remorse. When she tried getting back together with Matthew, he was already in a relationship with Abbie the female lead.

Abbie was also a celebrity. Initially, she was inferior in every aspect to Chelsea in the entertainment industry. However, she then became a somebody upon getting loved by Matthew and marrying into a wealthy and powerful family.

As for Chelsea, she had neither connections nor money. She was even tricked into using drugs. Eventually, she died on the street, and there was no one by her side.

When Chelsea saw that the female supporting character had the same name as her, she was enraged.

"Jeez, what's with her spate of bad luck?" she thought. "She has gotten into a big mess."

Just as she was lost in her own thoughts, the housekeeper handed her the divorce settlement agreement and a pen.

"Madam Graham, please sign."

Chelsea looked at the agreement in front of her. She then raised her head to look up at the indifferent-looking Matthew.

His facial expression and his gaze looked indifferent. It was as it made no difference to him whether or not he and Chelsea were divorced.

Without any hesitation, Chelsea pushed the contract back to the housekeeper.

The housekeeper looked at her in shock. "Hasn't she always wanted to get a divorce?" he thought. "She even unscrupulously caused the news of her cheating to trend on search engines and social media today."

"I've changed my mind. I don't want to get a divorce. Is that okay?"

The housekeeper was a little shocked. He twisted around to look at Matthew.

Matthew had remained silent right from the start. Upon hearing Chelsea's remarks, he finally raised his head to look at her.

"Please think this through."

His tone was rather indifferent. There was no hint of approval or objection in his tone. He was rationally reminding Chelsea.

Chelsea had asked for a divorce countless times. Master Storey would try to convince her otherwise whenever she asked for a divorce. This time around, Master Storey finally agreed. He ordered Matthew to leave his property to Chelsea.

In fact, Matthew would have given Chelsea his property even if Master Storey did not ask him to do so.

Matthew had always acceded to her every request.

He acceded to Chelsea's every request for the simple reason that she was the daughter of a couple whom he owed a debt of gratitude.

"I've deliberated it over. I don't want to get a divorce. This agreement is to be nullified!"

Matthew did not say anything. He looked at Chelsea quietly. It was as if he was trying to confirm if she was being honest.

Chelsea gave Matthew a sincere look.

She was a glamorous and beautiful woman. Although she had just taken a shower and wore no makeup on her face, her facial features still looked greatly attractive.

Matthew was not sure if it was an illusion, but he felt that Chelsea seemed to look a little different today.

He could not pinpoint which part of her was different compared to her usual self.

After a while, he looked away and spoke coldly.

"The offer still stands. It can come into effect immediately whenever you want a divorce."

Chelsea was dumbfounded. "So generous and kind of you, huh?" she thought.

All of Matthew's property would go to Chelsea if the divorce agreement came into effect. Because of this, Chelsea was puzzled by his nonchalance.

Come to think of it, she thought it was not surprising as Matthew had never valued these worldly possessions.

After that, Matthew pushed the wheels of his wheelchair, getting ready to leave. When Chelsea saw him leaving, she suddenly asked, "You're going home, aren't you?"

"Yeah."

"Wait for me then. I'll go back with you. I miss Grandpa."

Now that Chelsea occupied this body, she had to rely on this body for many things in the future. She remembered that the old Master Storey was very sad when she asked for a divorce. She felt that she had to go back and comfort him.

Matthew paused and frowned slightly.

"I'll be ready in a few minutes."

Chelsea entered the room, opened the wardrobe, and changed her clothes.

Taking advantage of the spare time for changing clothes, Chelsea glanced at herself in the mirror.

She was extraordinarily beautiful. Her eyes were attractive, and her skin was incredibly fair and supple.

This face was charming. There was an ethereal air to her beauty. It was natural and captivating to the point of taking one's breath away when one looked at her.

However, this was not her face. Sigh.

Having abruptly transmigrated into a book, she was not sure whether her ability in the physical realm could still be used.

"I have to give it a try," she thought.

Chelsea closed her eyes and tried to meditate.

"Knock! Knock! Knock!"

"Madam Graham, are you done?"

Chelsea brought her wandering mind to the present. Matthew was still waiting for her outside. She had been in a daze for too long. She then quickly changed her clothes, opened the door and walked out of the room.

After she got changed, Chelsea carried her bag and walked toward Matthew. "I'm done," she said. "Let's go."

Matthew glanced at her.

Clad in a white loose suit that matched her light-colored short skirt, her beautiful, fair and long legs were revealed.

Her long hair was tied simply behind her head. She was glamorous and beautiful. Such fashion sense did not suit her. Oddly enough, the combination of the suit and the skirt along with her demeanor somehow eclipsed that fashion sense, making her look particularly pleasing to the eye.

"Okay."

Matthew uttered a word. Just as he was about to push the wheelchair forward, Chelsea suddenly said, "Let me handle it."

Now that she had transmigrated into the body of someone else's wife, she reckoned she had to carry out her responsibilities as a wife.

As she stepped forward and pushed the wheelchair, she felt a sense of agitation. She did not notice that Matthew was stunned the moment she held the wheelchair. Instead, a thought preoccupied her.

"The former Chelsea Graham is fortunate indeed," she thought. "All clothes in the cloakroom are of famous brands. She has lots of bags and shoes too. Judging from the level of her popularity in the entertainment industry, there is no way she could have earned so much money."

She was certain that there was only one plausible reason.

The money must have come from Matthew.
